You have the opportunity to make three different quilts! All three of these quilts are made with 5" squares and you will learn the easy and accurate sewing method for this very versatile unit. The hour glass unit has four triangles in it, but we will make it without cutting any! By sewing first and then cutting, we eliminate working with the bias. Well within the reach of the intermediate quilter, a confident beginner shouldn't be afraid to tackle this project. Learn Susan Cleveland's terrific technique for making teeny, tiny piping adding a special touch to your quilt. Uses the "Piping Hot Binding" method. Susan's "Groovin Piping Tool" with instruction booklet need to be purchased prior to the class. It is about $20.00 and available at most quilt shops or from her website, www.piecesbewithyou.com. This piping adds the perfect finish to quilts as well as garments. ($55)
