Anne Oliver is an internationally renowned quilter, who resides locally in Northern Virginia. She began to quilt in the mid-1970's and was self-taught. She has given lectures and workshops on her methods of freezer-paper appliqué and freezer-paper white work designs. Her quilting has taken her on a journey with visits to countries around the world...

She is especially proud of two of her works. Her quilt "Painted Metal Ceiling" is an original design inspired by a salesman's book of ceiling panel designs. This quilt selected as one of the 20th Century's 100 Best American Quilts, was featured at the Houston Quilt Festival in 1999. "Momma's Garden" claims a Best of Show at Lancaster among others prizes and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of the American Quilt Society in Paducah. Anne has enjoyed her journey as a nationally and internationally famed quilter. She says now it is her time.

We are so fortunate to have not one, but two quilts donated by Anne Oliver for the raffle.
