One of Linda Cooper's quilts with a painted background.

Supply fee $18

Linda will provide the paints, brushes, stretchers and fabrics for all but the last hour in the class.
Some students say the best part is that all they need to bring are the old clothes on their backs!

This fun, no-stress fabric painting workshop is perfect for everyone, even those who may not think they are artistic enough for fabric painting! Learn to paint beautiful pieces in a simple, easy way. Students will work on Bali Lawn, the fabric the great batiks are printed on. It will be stapled to a frame. We'll also paint paper-backed cotton and explore making our own ombre fabrics.

There will be a demonstration of how to make sun prints and, weather permitting, students can try creating their own. In the last hour you'll have an opportunity to combine techniques, making your personalized painted pieces with ready-to-paint fabric purchased from Artistic Artifacts. Linda will also do a demo of her new applique technique and show some ways to use your newly painted fabrics.
