QU in Northern Virginia - Centreville Chapter

QUILT-IN ON WEDNESDAY - NOTE TIME CHANGE

The QU Quilt-In will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at Falls Church High School. However, Quilt-In Coordinator Sandy Wright [R] asks you to please note the time change. Because of the current security issues at local schools, no one will be admitted into the building until 4PM (instead of the published time of 3:30PM).

Here's a recap of what to expect. Newcomers, this is a special time to experience the fun and camaraderie as all 11 QU Chapters come together. Come when you can and stay as long as you can. We eat, talk, have show and tell, walk around to see what other quilters are working on, and have door prize drawings throughout the Quilt-In. Bring your own hand project to work on (no sewing machines); a snack, hors d'oeuvres, or dessert to share (please label items that have MSG, artificial sweeteners, nuts or nut oils of any kind for those with food allergies). If participating, bring your completed blocks for the drawing (see QU Newsletter for acorn applique and wild goose pieced patterns), any show-and-tell that you might want to share, and any door prizes you want to donate (quilt-related items are the best, but no white elephants please).

Directions: Falls Church High School, 7521 Jaguar Trail, Falls Church

From I-495, take Exit 8 East (Arlington Blvd./ Route 50). Turn right at the first traffic light onto Jaguar Trail. The road winds a bit to the left. The school is about 100 yards down on your right. The cafeteria is located at the rear of the school.
