2010:

September 28     We are very excited to begin our year with Jinny Beyer, world renowned fabric designer, teacher and writer will talk about "Color Confidence". This lecture and trunk show provides techniques for developing color palettes and gaining new confidence in your ability to select colors for your projects. Jinny will be autographing her new book A Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns and it will be available for purchase as well as other specialty items from her shop in Great Falls, Virginia and on her website www.jinnybeyer.com.

October 26         Jenny Emry, long time McLean QU member will present a lecture and trunk show "My Favorite Quilts". Jenny is a collector of vintage textiles and does amazing transformations with many of the pieces she finds.

November 16    Gyleen Fitzgerald, Unfinished Stories with New Endings: A visual transformation of 1930's through 1950's unfinished tops and blocks to finished quilts with unpredictable endings using fabrics of today.  Gyleen is absolutely passionate about quilting! Color enlivens all her work, and she is perhaps best known for her sense of color along with her technical design ability. Her work can be seen at www.colourfulstitches.com
