Objective for 2007 – 08 Year

We propose to have a year of growth and excitement in which we aim to get to know each other better. The first meeting of the month will be a sharing of time and talents: members will demonstrate particular skills and share tips, show and tell will have a theme, “Meet the Quilter” will allow us to find out more about individual members, “Block of the Month” will be revealed, Prize Patrol offers a chance to win, the library will be open and progress on Project 1000 will be discussed. Of course, handwork may also be worked on (and admired) during the meeting.

At the second meeting we will host a guest speaker or have a traditional event meeting.

Community Service

The Reston Chapter has embarked upon an ambitious goal of making 1000 quilts for presentation to a variety of local charities. Project 1000 invites your contribution of sewing, fabrics, batting or donations to purchase supplies. Help us achieve our goal to make our community a kinder and more caring place to live.

Newsletter
Our newsletter “And Sew Forth” is produced monthly from September through to June. It is emailed or sent via the USPS to all active members.
