  Welcome to a brand-new year with the McLean chapter of Quilters Unlimited!  Whether you're a returning member or joining us for the first time, we're delighted you'll be with us. Our committee has been busy planning a season of fun, friendship, creativity, and inspiring programs. We can't wait to get started.

New members will be given a kit for this purpose at the meeting.   Also, members are encouraged to bring a quilt or other project for Show & Tell—we love seeing finished creations, works in progress, and the stories behind them.   Latest Trends in Color and Design in the Quilting World

  Carly Muli, a (Dutch) lawyer by education, discovered a passion for fabric when she was in her thirties and had moved with her family from The Netherlands to the USA. In 2003, she founded Webfabrics. Webfabrics started in the basement of her home and grew into one of the largest and most successful quilt retailers on the East Coast of the USA. Carly sold Webfabrics in June of 2022.   Underground Railroad Quilts: Fact vs Fiction

  Jan Doyle is a media personality with her own show, Wyse Talk, on cable and YouTube.  Jan has appeared on Good Morning CT for three years with Classroom Connections, taught elementary and high school, and loves to travel.  As a teacher, Jan felt the one page in the history books devoted to the Underground Railroad completely inadequate. Personal interest and study led to the creation of the program she will be presenting.

       Monika is a self-described quilter, teacher and accidental pattern designer. She loves bright designs and modern quilts but takes inspiration from traditional blocks. She tweaks traditional quilts designs to suit her taste for modern fabrics, colors, and bold shapes.
